This ECDC thematic report covers key issues and priorities for action in Europe. It draws on country data reported to ECDC for Dublin Declaration monitoring and UNAIDS global reporting in 2012 and 2014 and surveillance data reported by countries to ECDC and WHO Europe since 2004.

Thematic report: HIV and migrants
This report summarises key issues related to HIV and migrants in Europe, focusing on the EU/EEA, and identifies priority actions to improve the HIV response for this key population. It draws on 2015 surveillance data reported to ECDC and the WHO Regional Office for Europe, and 2016 Dublin Declaration monitoring data reported to ECDC by 48 countries.

This literature review answers a series of questions on the prevalence of chronic HBV and HCV infection in the general EU population, the number of individuals with chronic HBV or HCV infection, and current national practices for screening for chronic HBV and HCV infection, all with the overarching goal of promoting national and European policies on the secondary prevention of these two diseases.
