Workshop on training capacity, resources and needs assessment for the EU candidate countries and potential candidates
ECDC organised this workshop to map training resources and identify needs in the area of communicable disease surveillance and control in EU candidate countries and potential candidates. Sixteen representatives from eight countries participated.
Outcomes for participants included identifying priorities and drawing up country specific action plans, and for ECDC more clarity in work priorities for the EU enlargement countries. Future steps include introductory courses on applied epidemiology and country visits.
Expert consultation on pertussis
12 May 2014 - This report presents the outcomes of a technical workshop, organised by ECDC, to seek a consensus on a common strategy to reduce the public health burden caused by pertussis in the EU/EEA countries.
Joint ECDC and WHO Europe meeting report on the consultation on pandemic and all-hazard preparedness
