Spring European Testing Week 2020
European Testing Week is a European campaign that encourages partner organisations, in community, health care and policy institutions, throughout Europe to unite for one week twice a year to increase testing efforts and promote awareness on the benefits of earlier hepatitis and HIV testing.
European Immunization Week, 2020
European Immunization Week (EIW) is marked across the European Region every April. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of immunisation for people’s health and well-being. ECDC supports the European Immunization Week campaign lead by WHO/Europe by providing scientific evidence on immunisation.
Expert meeting on the use of evidence in decision making during health crisis
ECDC is organising an expert consultation meeting in Stockholm in order to contribute to a better understanding by public health experts of the mechanisms through which scientific evidence feeds into decision-making processes during emergencies.
Course: Methods and tools for evidence-based practice with focus on infectious diseases
This course was recommended for public health professionals involved in the planning, development, commissioning and/or approval of scientific outputs like reviews, assessments or guidance in the area of infectious disease epidemiology, prevention and control. Over the four days, the participants were expected to learn the basic skills and competences needed for evidence-based practice.

European Immunization Week (EIW) is marked across the European Region every April. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of immunisation for people’s health and well-being. Activities in 2018 focused on the progress and challenges in the Region’s concerted effort to eliminate measles and rubella.
Cross-border health threats: assessment, evidence-based decision making & communication
The aim of the workshop was to strengthen capacity in Member States of the European Union (EU) and of the European Economic Area (EEA) in increasing and strengthening knowledge on the use of scientific evidence for assessment, decision-making and communication of cross-borders health threats in the European Union.
