The European Commission had an ongoing open public consultation on ‘strengthened cooperation against vaccine-preventable diseases’ which ran until 15 March 2018. The objective of this consultation was to collect the views and input of citizens, administrations, associations and other relevant organisations to feed into the process of drafting a proposal for a Council Recommendation to be adopted in mid-2018.
ECDC Expert meeting on non-pharmaceutical countermeasures for Pandemic flu

In a two-day meeting organised by ECDC and UNAIDS, representatives of 22 European countries discussed how to improve the delivery of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) across Europe. The meeting brought together country delegates, PrEP users and community HIV advocates to seek ways to strengthen the provision and monitoring of PrEP.

The use of vaccines for prevention of seasonal and pandemic influenzaArchived
On 3 October 2011 European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and representatives of the European Vaccine Manufacturers met at ECDC in Stockholm for a regular scheduled meeting about the use of vaccines for prevention of seasonal and pandemic influenza. ECDC Director Marc Sprenger opened the meeting and ECDC influenza experts held different presentations, such as burden of influenza disease in the EU, risk groups for severe influenza disease, personal protective measures, pandemic influenza preparedness, seasonal influenza vaccines, communication.
