The 6th Food- and Waterborne Diseases and Zoonoses network (FWD-Net) meeting focused on strengthening EU surveillance and response capacity as well as on hepatitis A as an emerging foodborne disease in the EU.
Annual EuroCJD network meeting 2013
The EuroCJD meetings are held annually/biannually and constitute a valuable platform for: 1) the assessment of the latest scientific and diagnostic findings and developments in the field of CJD; 2) the assessment of their impact on the needs of future surveillance; and 3) sharing country-specific experience, case studies and public health activities.
Food-borne Campylobacter bacteria
The European Parliament Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety held a meeting with the European Commission, ECDC and EFSA on the risks posed by food-borne Campylobacter bacteria and the possible control options.
