Measles outbreaks in Europe

Measles cases in Europe primarily occur in unvaccinated populations in both adults and children. Large outbreaks with fatalities are ongoing in countries that had previously eliminated or interrupted endemic transmission. ECDC monitors the measles outbreaks in the EU/EEA and publishes regularly a monthly update in the CDTR with the most recent data on measles cases and outbreaks and a monthly measles and rubella monitoring report based on data submitted to TESSy. The latest reports are available in the Publications list below.
