Types of seasonal influenza vaccine

Data set

The following seasonal influenza vaccines are centrally authorised by the European Medicines Agency:

In addition to these, there are nationally authorised seasonal influenza vaccines which are approved in Member States of the European Union, which can be found in the MRI Product Index.

The tetravalent vaccines contain both seasonal influenza A subtypes, A(H3N2) and A(H1N1)pdm09, and both influenza B lineages, B/Victoria and B/Yamagata. It needs to be noted however that as of January 2024, influenza B/Yamagata viruses have not been circulating since March 2020. Trivalent vaccines contain one of the two B lineage virus components.
