This report details the work of ECDC during 2011, a year which saw as the outbreak of Shiga-toxin producing E. coli, outbreaks of malaria and West Nile virus in Greece, and a host of other public health challenges.
Alongside further changes in its organisational structure, the Centre continued to produce important scientific output, respond to major and minor incidents, and meet its other public health and disease-specific obligations.
