ABSTRACT
Following a request by the Estonian government, ECDC performed a follow-up country visit to Estonia covering HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) from 11–13 October 2010, following an earlier visit in 2007. The team consisted of ECDC representatives and delegates from the Estonian National Institute for Health Development.
The key areas identified following the visit were: expansion of point-of-care testing in community-based settings; strengthening the integration of HIV and STI care; effective partner notification; improving the quality and harmonisation of HIV and STI surveillance data; and efficient regional networking.
