The 2013 European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology (ESCAIDE) will be held in Stockholm, Sweden on 5 - 7 November. The conference will be hosted at the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre, in the heart of the city.

In 2012, ESCAIDE hosted plenary sessions and presentations on a wide range of topics related to infectious disease prevention and control including emerging zoonotic infections, Interaction between microbiology and epidemiology in support public health action, and enhanced surveillance activities at the 2012 Olympic Games and UEFA football championship.

Planning for this year’s conference is already underway and information on the call for abstracts, programme, keynote speakers, satellite sessions and registration will be published in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please note the following general deadlines:

• Conference registration: from late Spring
• Call for abstracts: from early June to mid-July
• Notification of abstract results: on last week of August
