ECDC Webcasts on Influenza A(H1N1)

As of 5 May 2009, ECDC will be holding twice-weekly webcasts on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10h00 CEST about the latest situation and specific themes of current interest regarding the Influenza A(H1N1) outbreak.

Journalists across Europe can register to watch the webcast online through the link: ECDC webcast Influenza A(H1N1) - 5 May 2009, 10.00 (CEST)

Speakers at the briefing will be:

  • Dr. Denis Coulombier, Head of Preparedness and Response Unit, ECDC
  • Prof. Angus Nicoll, Senior Expert and Head of Influenza Programme, ECDC
  • Sarah Earnshaw, Media coordinator, ECDC
  • Dr Coulombier will provide an update on the latest situation, and Prof. Angus Nicoll will discuss possible scenarios for the development of the outbreak.

The speakers will not be taking questions directly, but they will endeavour to address issues which have been raised through the media hotline (+46 8 586 01678) or e-mail (press@ecdc.europa.eu). Other questions will be answered through the ECDC press office.
