ECDC’s will be holding press briefing on working days at 4 pm CEST
01 May 2009

Due to exceptional demand for information on the Influenza A(H1N1) virus, ECDC will be holding press briefings on working days at 4.00 pm CEST at its headquarters in Stockholm. Exceptionally, this Friday 1 May we will also hold a press briefing.

These press briefings aim at providing the latest updates on the Influenza A (H1N1) virus developments, as well as taking questions from journalists. Senior scientists from ECDC will attend these press briefings.

Stockholm-based journalists are invited to attend the press briefing at ECDC’s premises (Tomtebodavagen 11A, Solna). They are kindly requested to announce their participation to ECDC’s press office. Journalists across Europe can register to watch the press briefings on line on ECDC’s website. They will have the possibility to log in questions to be answered during the press briefings.

For today’s press briefing, the two speakers will be:

  • Prof. Johan Giesecke, ECDC Chief Scientist
  • Prof. Angus Nicoll, Senior Expert and Head of Influenza Programme

ECDC is producing a daily situation report on cases of the Influenza A (H1N1) virus in Europe and around the world.
