Due to exceptional demand for information on the Influenza A(H1N1) Virus, ECDC will be holding press briefings on working days at 4.00 pm CEST at its headquarters in Stockholm. Exceptionally, this Friday 1 May we will also hold a press briefing.
These press briefing aims at providing the latest updates on the Influenza A(H1N1) Virus developments as well as taking questions from journalists. Senior scientists from ECDC will attend these press briefing.
Stockholm-based journalists are invited to attend the press briefing at ECDC’s premises (Tomtebodavagen 11/A, Solna). They are kindly requested to announce their participation to ECDC’s press office. Journalists across Europe can register to watch press briefings on line on ECDC’s website (www.ecdc.europa.eu). They will have the possibility to log in questions to be answered during press briefings.
For today’s press briefing, the three speakers will be:
- Prof. Angus Nicoll, Senior Expert and Head of Influenza Programme
- Dr Denis Coulombier, Head of the Preparedness and Response Unit
- Mr Ben Duncan, ECDC Spokesperson
ECDC is producing a daily situation report on cases of the Influenza A(H1N1) Virus in Europe and around the world. On a daily basis ECDC press office will inform journalists by e-mail as soon as the daily situation report is posted on its homepage.
