Second WHO Consultation on yellow fever and international travel
04 Mar 2010 - 05 Mar 2010 | Stockholm, Sweden | Organized by: ECDC

A working group of international yellow fever and travel medicine experts (under the supervision of the WHO International Travel and Health and CDC’s Travellers’ Health Branch, and in close collaboration with the WHO Yellow fever initiative, ECDC and other members) has reviewed the risk of yellow fever in 2009 and 2010.

The revised classification identifies countries and/or areas with risk, low risk and no risk of transmission.

The objectives of the meeting are to:

  • review the country specific risk mapping of yellow fever, recommended by the working group;
  • analyse implication and review the criteria for inclusion or removal of countries and/or areas from the list for yellow fever transmission;
  • propose next steps for yellow fever risk mapping and working group;

40 participants from Africa, South, Central and North America, Europe and Asia will attend the meeting.

 Map - Countries participating to the yellow fever meeting: on 4-5 March 2010 (as of 12 February 2010)
