For the first time the European Region of the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) is holding its meeting in western rather than eastern Europe.

The conference will focus on approaches to the control of tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases, as well as a wide range other important issues, including lung disease caused by tobacco, child respiratory disease - and the contribution to the problem by pollution.
