ECDC and the WHO Regional Office for Europe jointly coordinate TB surveillance in the European Region. Both organizations have agreed to share the data submitted by the 53 Member States and all tasks related to surveillance and monitoring of tuberculosis.The focus of this year’s TB surveillance network meeting is the performance indicators of TB programmes and on enhancement and harmonisation of treatment outcome monitoring (TOM) of MDR-TB.

Fifth meeting of the coordination group - 11 June
The goal of the meeting is to share the experience on 2 years ECDC/WHO Joint TB Surveillance coordination and to clear the future perspectives of the network.

Annual meeting - 12-13 June
This year the event will focus on quality and comprehensiveness of treatment outcome reporting and assessment the activities towards elimination of TB in the EU.
