This study indicates, as others have previously, that trust in health professionals and vaccine policy is central to acceptance of MMR. Further qualitative work may seek to explore perceptions, understanding and information sources around vaccine ingredients, as well as the evolution and impact of perceived behavioural norms. Concern and knowledge about perceived financial motives underpinning NHS vaccination practice and policy in the UK may be a priority for future studies.
